Positions


Water Art Show and Auction Coordinator

  • Coordinate all aspects of February art show auction including:
    • Call for art, Selection of art
    • Securing gallery space
    • Securing open bar supplies
    • Coordinating volunteers for set up, break down, and show/auction event

Wholly H2O Forum Coordinator

  • Work with Wholly H2o director to coordinate all aspects of WH2O forums:
    • identifying pertinents forum topics
    • securing meeting space
    • organizing panels/speakers

"Water Cycle" Blog Coordinator

  • Coordinate writers and daily content; line up and manage CA water experts to provide a once-a-week content-based blogs, as well as a daily news feed.

Marketing

Media & Marketing Manager

  • Outreach to water agencies, state water departments, and nonprofits to include our materials on their site (links)
  • Create and oversee development of new outreach and marketing materials (pamphlets, magnets, banners, tip cards, etc.)
  • Manage social media messaging strategy on Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, etc.

  • Marketing and outreach experience
  • Excellent people skills
  • Social media and online marketing experience


Development and Outreach

Funding Support

  • Identify and pursue grant opportunities
  • Maintain grants and RFP database, including grant schedule
  • Sign up for water agency and city-sponsored RFPs
  • Identify and persue on-line funding opoportunities
  • Co-write grants with director
  • Identify and contact retail sponsorship opportunities
  • Identify and engage corporate sponsors
  • Identify and engage individual large donors

Requirements

  • Grant research capabitiies
  • Capacity in Excel
  • Writing experience (or strong interest!)
  • Self-motivated; ability to take initiative and follow-through to completion
  • Fundraising experience
  • Organized and proactive
  • Experience with excel
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Well connected with strong social networks within SF/CA non-profit philanthropy sector (bonus, but not required)

Video Editor

  • Edit monthly forum videos and post to the site

Requirements

  • Experience with video editing software

General Requirements

  • Volunteers: 40 hrs minimum commitment (prefer 5 hrs/week for 8 week min)
  • Interns: minimum 15 hrs/week for 3 months, but prefer 20 hours a week for 4-6 months
  • A keen interest in water efficiency and reuse
  • Can make a solid commitment for the duration of time period
  • Great sense of humor and flexibility of spirit
  • Able to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to complete tasks
  • Able to interface with organizing software, google docs
